Eminem made his highly anticipated return with his ninth studio album Friday (Dec. 15), Revival. One track that has served as a stand-out in its short time is the unlikely collaboration between him and Ed Sheeran

[Ed Sheeran:]
I've been a liar, been a thief
Been a lover, been a cheat
All my sins need holy water
Feel it washing over me
Oh, little one, I don't want to admit to something
If all it's gonna cause is pain
Truth and my lies right now are falling like the rain
So let the river run

[Eminem:]
He's coming home with his neck scratched, to catch flack
Sweat jackets and dress slacks, mismatch
On his breath's Jack, he's a sex addict
And she just wants to exact revenge and get back
It's a chess match, she's on his back like a jet pack
She's kept track of all his Internet chats
And guess who just happens to be moving on to the next?
Actually, just shit on my last chick and she has what my ex lacks
'Cause she loves danger, psychopath
And you don't fuck with no man's girl, even I know that
But she's devised some plan to stab him in the back
Knife in hand, says the relationship's hanging by a strand
So she's been on the web lately
Says maybe she'll be my Gwen Stacy, to spite her man
And I know she's using me to try to play him, I don't care
Hi Susanne, but I shoulda said “Bye Susanne”
After the first night, but tonight I am

[Ed Sheeran:]
I've been a liar, been a thief
Been a lover, been a cheat
All my sins need holy water
Feel it washing over me
Oh, little one, I don't want to admit to something
If all it's gonna cause is pain
The truth and my lies now are falling like the rain
So let the river run

[Eminem:]
One-night stand, turned into night staying
He was calling so might scram, now we hug tight and
He found out, now she feels deserted and used
'Cause he left, so what? He did it first to her too
Now how am I supposed to tell this girl that we're through?
It's hard to find the words, I'm aloof, nervous, ensued
Don’t want us to hurt, but what you deserve is the truth
Don't take it personal, I just can't say this in person to you
So I revert to the studio like hole in the wall diners
Don't have to be reserved in a booth
I just feel like the person who I'm turning into's
Irreversible, I preyed on you like it's church at the pew
And now that I got you I don't want you
Took advantage in my thirst to pursue
Why do I do this dirt that I do?
Get on my soapbox and preach, my sermon and speech
Detergent and bleach is burning the wound
'Cause now with her in the womb
We can't bring her in this world, shoulda knew
To use protection 'fore I bit into your forbidden fruit
Fuck!

[Ed Sheeran:]
I've been a liar, been a thief
Been a lover, been a cheat
All my sins need holy water
Feel it washing over me
Oh, little one, I don't want to admit to something
If all it's gonna cause is pain
The truth and my lies now are falling like the rain
So let the river run

[Eminem (Ed Sheeran):]
My name's (ooh), my name's (ooh)
Denver (ooh), river run
Call me (ooh), call me (ooh)
River (ooh), we'll let the river run

[Eminem:]
Always the bridesmaid, never “The bride, hey!”
Fuck can I say? If life was a highway
The seat was an enclave, I'd be swerving in five lanes
Speeds at a high rate, like I'm sliding on ice, maybe
That's why I may have came at you sideways
I can't keep my lies straight
What I made you terminate, my baby
This love triangle left us in a wreck, tangled
What else can I say? It was fun for a while
Bet I really woulda loved your smile
Didn't really wanna abort, but fuck it
What's one more lie, to tell an unborn child?

[Ed Sheeran (Eminem):]
I've been a liar, been a thief
Been a lover, been a cheat
All my sins need holy water
Feel it washing over me
Oh, little one (I'm sorry)
I don't want to admit to something (I fucked up)
If all it's gonna cause is pain
The truth and my lies now are falling like the rain
So let the river run

YouTube just announced that the Video Editor and Slideshow creators will be retired, which is not too surprising.

If you've used the YouTube video editor recently, you probably noticed it hasn't been updated in a long time. It uses Flash, which is on its way out, and frequently produces errors.

Enhancements will still be available, and you can use that to trim, selectively blur or add a filter to your video.

You have until September 20th to finish and publish your projects. Any videos published before then will not be affected.

The alternative is to download your videos and use the video editor of your choice.

If you are using a Chromebook, I haven't found any good free video editing options.

I've been trying out WeVideo, which seems to work well. But that does cost $60 per year to access most features. You can try it out for free, but the free tier only allows publishing 5 minutes of video per month, at 460p (so not HD), with the WeVideo branding.

For more info about the change, or if you have questions, head over to the YouTube help forum:
https://productforums.google.com/forum/#!topic/youtube/dx5xKn6v6rM

And in the YouTube Help Center:

Note that if you want to download your own videos, Google Takeout should let you retrieve them in the original file format. Downloading the MP4 from the YouTube Video Manager will only download in 720p.

Video sharing website YouTube is one of the most popular ways to listen to music and watch clips online. Created in 2005 by former PayPal employees, the site was bought by Google for $1.65 billion in 2006.

Psy's Gangnam Style is no longer the most-watched video on YouTube.
The South Korean gangnam style had been the site's most-played clip for the last five years.

The surreal video became so popular that it "broke" YouTube's play counter, exceeding the maximum possible number of views (2,147,483,647), and forcing the company to rewrite its code.

But the song has now been overtaken by another music video - Wiz Khalifa and Charlie Puth's See You Again

The heart-wrenching ballad has now been streamed 2,895,373,709 times; beating Psy's current count of 2,894,426,475 views.
Adding it up, that means See You Again has been streamed for a total of 21,759 years.

If one person was to listen to each of those streams consecutively, they'd have to have started during the glacial peak of the last Ice Age.

"I joined YouTube in 2007 hoping to make a video that would reach 10,000 views," wrote Charlie Puth on Twitter. "Just heard about See You Again... Wow."

According to analysis by Midia Research, every stream on YouTube generates $0.001 for the music industry.

If accurate, that means Wiz Khalifa and Charlie Puth's song has earned $2.9m (£2.2m) from YouTube - roughly the same amount it has made from 665 million plays on Spotify.

Sometimes in China alcohol can be so insanely cheap that it's hard not to wonder where it all comes from.

Well, recently three video clips making the rounds on WeChat have helped to shine light on one source, showing an underground factory in Dongguan which produced thousands upon thousands of fake cans of Budweiser each day before being busted by city authorities on May 5th.

In the first clip, female workers can be seen handling the recycled cans which are then canned by a machine on a conveyor belt in the next clip. Then, the third clip shows a Trade and Industry Bureau task force arriving at the factory to check out its stockpile.

According to city authorities, the underground factory was able to churn out 600,000 boxes of fake Budweiser a month, which were then distributed to bars and nightclubs.

HBO has finally started feeding the anticipation for Game of Thrones season 7 in the past couple of weeks with a proper trailer, posters and now a runtime for the first episode.

At just 50 minutes, season 6's opener, 'The Red Woman', was a little short given the wait for it, with first episodes averaging at around 55 minutes.

S07E01 will be a bumper episode however, with the HBO site listing it as 59 minutes long. There's no word on its title yet.

With the show dropping down from 10 to seven episode this season, this could suggest that each episode will be given a little more time to play out.

Saffron has a long and colorful history. You may be surprised by how it is made.

Saffron is the most expensive spice in the world, going for up to $16 per gram—and with good reason. It comes from the dried bright orange-red stigmas of the flower Crocus sativus.

But before you go digging up your spring crocus, know that this variety is special because it’s a triploid: it can’t grow in the wild or reproduce without human intervention. The gorgeous purple flower is painstakingly propagated and harvested by hand, and only on the morning it blooms. The more careful the cultivation, the higher the price.

Iran produces 85 percent of the world’s saffron, according to the UN Food and Agriculture Organization, thanks to its relatively dry, sunny climate and the agricultural knowledge passed down through generations of farmers. It likely was first discovered in Bronze Age Greece, yet it now grows throughout Europe and Asia.

Saffron is as old as time. Cleopatra was said to bathe in saffron-infused mare’s milk before seeing a suitor. “Saffron was used to dye the woolen bolero jackets worn by Minoan women; also in cosmetics, where it was mixed with red ochre, tallow, and beeswax to make lipstick,” says John O’Connell in The Book of Spice: From Anise to Zedoary. Medieval monks found that mixing a primitive glue of egg whites and saffron created a yellow glaze that could stand in for gold in the production of their manuscripts.

And I dare you to make a Spanish paella or a Persian pilau without the metallic zing and dayglow yellow punch of saffron. Same for dozens of styles of fish stew, yeasted rolls, cakes, and pies found around the world.

Saffron has been used historically to treat everything from heartache to hemorrhoids by traditional healers. Modern studies have shown the high levels of antioxidants found in saffron may help ward off inflammation in the body and that it may be helpful in treating sexual dysfunction and depression, but the jury’s still out on its reported effects on cardiovascular disease and cancer.

Saffron was once spread like hay to freshen Roman public spaces and was even prescribed as an antidote for the bubonic plague, according to the beautifully illustrated The Herball, or Generall historie of plants, by John Gerarde, published in 1597.

Its popularity may have peaked in the Middle Ages as a medicine, but this was also a time when coloring food, particularly food for a feast, was in vogue. A recipe for swan from Le Viandier de Taillevent, a cookbook published in 1300, calls for a rather graphic skinning of the bird, then cooking it on a spit. Once the bird is on the fire, you must “glaze it with saffron; and when it is cooked, it should be redressed in its skin, with the neck either straight or flat. Endorse the feathers and head with a paste made of egg yolks mixed with saffron and honey.”

Saffron still evokes affluence and elegance in any dish. Luckily, a tiny bit goes a long way.

At first glance, they look like any stunning women enjoying a sunny day surfing at the Manhattan beach.

But a closer look reveals models Jovan Gonzalez, Taujma Hall, Kristin Lee and Morgan Sliff are not wearing Neoprone but are stunningly painted with colours.

The women had stripped off for renowned body paint artist Paul Roustan from Los Angeles in USA.

The surfing girls, painted in blue, black and white bodysuits are wearing nothing but carefully covering the modesty in strapless thongs and pasties.

And in a few weeks there will be a new application process to join the Partner Program.

Starting today, we will no longer serve ads on YPP videos until the channel reaches 10k lifetime views. This new threshold gives us enough information to determine the validity of a channel. It also allows us to confirm if a channel is following our community guidelines and advertiser policies. By keeping the threshold to 10k views, we also ensure that there will be minimal impact on our aspiring creators. And, of course, any revenue earned on channels with under 10k views up until today will not be impacted.

In a few weeks, we’ll also be adding a review process for new creators who apply to be in the YouTube Partner Program. After a creator hits 10k lifetime views on their channel, we’ll review their activity against our policies. If everything looks good, we’ll bring this channel into YPP and begin serving ads against their content. Together these new thresholds will help ensure revenue only flows to creators who are playing by the rules.

China's long-awaited 'straddling bus' received its inaugural test run in Qinhuangdao, Hebei province this week. The Transit Elevated Bus, to give it its official title, is designed to help combat gridlock by letting passengers soar over the tops of cars on the increasingly-congested roads of China's major cities.

The test run was conducted on a 300 metre-long controlled track, separate from road traffic. Each 72-foot-long vehicle can carry up to 300 passengers, and up to four TEB cars can be linked together - although only one was used for its first public outing.

"The biggest advantage is that the bus will save lots of road space," said Song Youzhou, the project's chief engineer, in an interview with news agency Xinhua earlier this year.

Song claimed that, as well as being cheaper to produce than underground trains, the TEB could be rolled out far more quickly thanks to the relative simplicity of supporting infrastructure.

Vehicles can pass underneath the bus whether it is moving or stationary, according to the designs, and it is powered purely by electricity.

Each bus would replace about 40 conventional buses, Song claims, saving more than 800 tonnes of fuel.

Why Focus on Long Tail Keyword ? Long tail keywords and ranking

Long tail keywords are keywords or key phrases that are more specific – and usually longer – than more commonly searched for keywords. Long tail keywords get less search traffic, but will usually have a higher conversion value, as they are more specific.

 Long Tail Keyword

In order to really profit from a keyword strategy focusing on long tail keyword, you should have a clear vision of your company, your product and your website. In this post, I would like to help you understand the importance of understanding your own product and the effort you should make to rank for long tail keywords.

Long tail keywords and ranking

It is much easier to rank for long tail keywords than for more common keywords. Another benefit for focussing on long tail keywords is that, although these keywords are used less in search, the visitor that finds your website using them is more likely to buy your service or product.
The longer and more specific the search terms are, the higher the chances of conversion are. I am currently looking for a cottage in France to spend our next summer vacation. I started my search with the term ‘vacation France’. I quickly discovered I wanted to go to the Dordogne, and preferred a house in the countryside. My search still continues, but now I use terms like [vacation house countryside Dordogne]. A long tail keyword. Using this keyword, I found new sites, which more closely resembled my vacation wishes. Chances for me to book my vacation largely increased.

Use your mission to define long tail keywords

The definition of your mission, in which you make crystal clear what the awesomeness of your product, site or blog is, should be central in choosing the long tail keywords you want to rank for. Trying to make your website rank for a specific term can be quite profitable, as long as this specific term closely resembles the product you’re selling. The terms you have used to describe your mission can be nicely used to focus on in your SEO strategy. These words should be central in the long tail keywords you aim your website to rank for. People using the terms of your mission and finding your website will be relatively small in volume, but these people do have the highest chances to buy your product or to become regular visitors.

The next step: awesome content

After you have done your keyword research and you know which keywords you would like to rank for, you’ll have to start creating content. Creating content can be quite challenging.

A 14 year old Indian-American boy invented email. This might be a surprising news for you but believe us that we are equally sad about the fact that hardly anyone knows about his invention or remembers him.

It’s hard to believe but VA Shiva Ayyadurai, a 14 year old Indian-American boy, made one of the most noteworthy inventions in the world history of technology. 32 years ago, a mere 14 year-old, invented a means of communication that we use even today

On 15 July almost two years ago, ‘Beyond Concepts Advertising & Designing’  posted a piece of information about VA Shiva Ayyadurai  when the email completed 32 years of existence.

Here is what they wrote…

The 14 Year Old Indian Boy Who Invented Email
Email turned 32 yesterday. But how many of us know that, VA Shiva Ayyadurai an Indian-American scientist invented Email when he was just 14.
Ayyadurai was born to a Tamil Family in Bombay. At the age of seven, he left with his family to live in the US. In 1978, aged 14, he developed a full-scale emulation of the interoffice mail system which he called “E-mail”. It replicated all the functions of the interoffice mail system: Inbox, Outbox, Folders, Memo, Attachments, Address Book, etc. These features are now familiar parts of every email system.
Studying at Livingston High School in New Jersey, Ayyadurai began his work on the email system for the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. He closely observed that the desktop of each secretary, in addition to the typewriter, had an Inbox, Outbox, Drafts, Carbon Copy Paper, Folders, Address Book, Paper Clips (for attachments), etc, which they used each day to create and process incoming and outgoing mail.
Then he conceived an electronic version of this system. He created a computer programme of over 50,000 lines of code, which electronically replicated all the features of the interoffice mail system. On August 30, 1982, the US government officially recognized Ayyadurai as the inventor of email by awarding him the first US Copyright for Email for his 1978 invention. Yet his name is nowhere in modern history of computer science. Whoever claims the invention, Ayyadurai will remain the father of E-mail. Hope he gets the name in history he deserves.

It appears to greatly cut the risk that you will need eyeglasses for nearsightedness.

Today, kids are more likely to have a hard time seeing distant objects clearly than they would have even a few decades ago. That has been a consistent finding in studies from around the world. New Canadian research sheds more light on why this nearsightedness is increasing. Its conclusion: Kids today spend too little time playing outdoors.
The idea is not new. In parts of the world where people spend most of their time indoors, rates of nearsightedness — or myopia — have been skyrocketing. By adulthood, one in three people in the United States has myopia. In parts of Asia, the rates are far higher. In some nations there, more than 95 percent of children and teens may wear glasses to correct for myopia.
Previous research suggested this might stem from children spending too much time focusing on close-up objects. Those might include books, smartphones and video screens. Other research has linked rising rates of myopia to a drop in the time kids spend outdoors.
The new Canadian study goes further. It shows that for one additional hour of outdoor time per week, the risk a child will develop myopia drops by about 14 percent.
Mike Yang led the study at Canada’s Centre for Contact Lens Research in Waterloo, Ontario. As an optometrist, he examines eyes for defects and prescribes treatment, including glasses and contact lenses. Yang worked with researchers at the Canadian National Institute for the Blind in Toronto, Ontario. Their findings have just been issued in a new 29-page report.
The team examined the eyes of 166 students in Waterloo during the 2014 to 2015 school year. All were in first to eighth grade. Among these kids, the share with myopia rose dramatically by middle school. On average, just 6 percent of first graders were myopic. By age 13, nearly 29 percent were.
The researchers then surveyed the parents about their kids’ activities and how much time they spend on each. Those questions included ones on the time each child typically spends outside. And this outdoor time proved a big predictor of whether kids had become nearsighted.
Why might that be? "It probably has something to do with the lighting being much brighter than indoors," concludes Yang. Also, when outside, your eyes have more opportunity to focus on things in the distance, he notes. For now, he says, "No one is sure why these things make a difference."
Jeremy Guggenheim agrees. He is an optometrist who has studied myopia in Great Britain and Hong Kong. "While the exact cause remains unknown, the bright light levels outdoors are thought by scientists to be key," he says.
Guggenheim says the link between outdoor time and myopia rates could have an added explanation: Children who wear glasses may avoid outdoor sports for fear of damaging or losing their glasses. So children who wear glasses for myopia might just spend less time outside.
The Canadian study also found that almost one in every three children with myopia had not been diagnosed. So they were never prescribed glasses to correct for the condition.
"If they've never experienced perfect vision before, they may think everybody sees the same way," explains Yang. It’s therefore up to parents, he says, to see that their child’s vision is checked regularly.
Without glasses, he notes, myopic children probably can't see the blackboard. This can slow learning and hurt how well they perform in school. Even more worrying, Yang says, is that children are becoming nearsighted at younger and younger ages.
"Historically, myopia started at age 12 or 13,” he notes. “Now it is showing up more often in kids six or seven years old." Yang could not compare the number of young children with myopia in his study to those from earlier generations in Canada. His is the first to measure these rates among children there.
But research in other countries, such as the United States and China, show that myopia is becoming common in ever younger kids. That worries Yang. When young children become myopic, he says, they risk an even greater decline in their eyesight over time when compared to their parents’ and grandparents’ generations.

Being prepared can make a world of difference when you’re expecting to be out in frigid weather

Taking simple precautions can dramatically reduce your risks in cold conditions and let you fully enjoy being, well, freezing. Here are a few:

1# Bring and wear proper gear. Big tip: Don’t wear cotton! When it gets wet, air pockets in this fabric will fill up with water so that it stops insulating you. And it takes a long time to dry.

2# Take a buddy and stay close together.  If something happens to one of you, the other now can give aid or call for help.

3# Before you leave home, study a map. Tell a friend or family member exactly where you’re going, what you’re doing and when you plan to return. Then take the map with you and stick to the plan.

4#Learn about the weather, terrain and elevation of where you will be traveling. Do this well before you leave. And be prepared for sudden weather changes.

5# Know basic first-aid techniques, such as CPR, just in case. Free CPR classes are often taught at city recreation centers and American Red Cross centers.

6# Stay hydrated when you’re out. This is important even when it’s very chilly. That’s because the air you breathe is dry, explains Michael Tipton. He’s a cold-weather expert at the University of Portsmouth in England. As your body warms that inhaled air, you will make it damper. In the process, you lose water through your breathing organs, especially your nose and lungs. And keep in mind that you being dehydrated can harm your performance. You can even die from it.

7# If you’re going to be exercising in the cold, pay even more attention to staying hydrated, because you can sweat out some of your fluids as you work. Also wear layers of clothing so that you can take off one if you’re too hot, but then put it back on as you slow down – and cool down.
